A new generation mirrorless SLR equipped with a newly developed partially stacked CMOS image sensor and a newly developed BIONZ XR2 processor will be released this month!


The new image processing engine "BIONZ XR2" equipped with AI processing significantly improves recognition and tracking performance compared to the α7 IV.
In combination with the newly developed image sensor, it is possible to read out all pixels without pixel addition during full-frame recording.
It can record 4K 60p footage with 7K oversampling with less moiré and jaggy, and can also shoot 120p at up to 4K, allowing you to create up to 5x slow-motion video.
AI-powered "real-time tracking" can detect and follow people whose faces are not visible or animals that seem to be facing their backs in real time. In addition, you can specify the subject you want to aim for and press the shutter button halfway to let the camera follow you automatically.
